Welcome to the website of the National Emergency Management Agency.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), launched on June 1, 2004, is the first national disaster management agency of Korea. NEMA is focused on safeguarding the people's lives and properties.
NEMA strives to thoroughly inspect and reinforce national disaster prevention systems to ensure that they remain safe, effective and reliable. To the effect of "Operative Disaster Prevention, One Step Ahead Response", NEMA is offering creative, practical disaster prevention and safety services.

Especially, NEMA is making all-out efforts to renovate itself to an expert organization specialized in effective disaster management in order to carry out practical and well-balanced firefighting and disaster prevention policies satisfying ever growing public demands for safety.

NEMA's website has been providing a wide array of information including disaster policies for domestic and overseas users, and will continue to provide such useful information.

I hope that NEMA's website will be a useful venue for information exchange in relation to disaster reports and policies. I deeply appreciate your continued support in our efforts to project " Disaster Zero Defects".

Thank you very much.
