The motif of the logo of NEMA is the “shield,” a symbol of protection and reliability. It symbolizes the vision of “the realization of a Korea where the people are comfortable and safe.”
The color green symbolizes safety, protection, hope, production, mobility, dynamics, sustainability, etc. It’s the symbol of Korea’s safety culture, where people are protected from disasters. It also symbolizes the efforts of NEMA to protect the Korean people and to help them have comfortable and happy lives.
The solid, tough shield is expressed in refined and high-impact lines to depict perfect and confident disaster management. It can also be associated with the image of a fence that protects the lives and properties of the people.
