The National Disaster Management Support System is jointly operated by the national government, local autonomous entities, and related authorities. Its purposes are to protect the people and their assets and to help develop the quality of people¡¯s lives.
This is a scientific, formulated information system which supports general
disaster management activities by building system to prevent dangerous factors
such as various disasters that hinder the safety of people adn of the nation, to
promptly respond to the emergence situation and to support damage repair. |

The national disaster management information system has developed a disaster management support system per disaster type from 1996 to 2004 and has completed the level 1 promotion. After executing the level 2 BPR/ISP in 2004, a government-range disaster management network was constructed in level 1 promotion to advance and stabilize the national disaster management information system. The promotion in national disaster management advancing is currently in progress. |
